Despite the cold, our staff and students were busy heating things up with K-6 sports day! Staff and students dressed as their favorite athlete, or sports related character, to celebrate physical health and literacy! With winter in full effect and lockdown continuing on, let us take a moment to remember the benefits of physical activity:
· keep their heart and lungs strong and healthy,
· become more flexible,
· develop strong bones,
· keep a healthy body weight,
· lower the risk of several diseases and health problems,
· improve their mood and self-esteem, and
· do better in school.
